Our scenic out and back begins at Columbia Elementary School.
You'll warm up while enjoying the flats and sloping downhill with sweeping views of Puget Sound.
When you reach the turn around the lung busting begins.
Work your way back up lung buster hill to triumphantly cross the finish line!
Our race will start in the front of the school with a lap around the school building.
As you exit the parking lot you will take a right onto Harbour Pointe Boulevard, staying on the same side as Columbia Elementary, where you will run on the sidewalk.
Flaggers and/or Course Marshals will assist in any street crossings you encounter as you run toward Harbour Heights Parkway.
Continue along Harbour Pointe Boulevard to Harbour Heights Parkway where a flagger will cross you to the far lane. If you are in need of water, you will find a water station here.
This lane will be closed to traffic and will be shared by runners headed out and back. Please stay to the right side of the lane to allow for runners and walkers in both directions.
At the bottom of the hill, you will turn around and head back toward Columbia Elementary.
Runners will stay to the right side to allow for both directions to travel safely.
Walkers coming up the hill should move over to the sidewalk to allow runners to easily pass.
After you complete the climb back up Harbour Heights Parkway, you can stop for water, and then a flagger will help you cross Harbour Heights Parkway where you will retrace your steps to return to Columbia Elementary.
Volunteers will help you turn down into the parking lot at Columbia Elementary where you will see the finish line.
